Finally, Delhi Government has initiated the process of providing one-time financial help of Rs 5000 to Auto-rickshaw, Taxi, Gramin Sewa, Phatphat Sewa, E-Rickshaws and school cab drivers.
In the backdrop of the COVID-19 Coronavirus scare affecting the livelihoods of daily wage earners due to slowing down of the economy, Nine Angle Foundation is focusing on giving financial help, especially to rickshaw pullers in our vicinity, who have lost their jobs.
The process of taking applications will start on April 13, 2020.
This benefit will be given to PSV badge-holders who have been issued such badges till March 23. Those whose driving licences have expired on or after February 1, the statement said, will also be considered for grant of benefit.
Those seeking to apply for such assistance can do so by providing basic details on the website of the Delhi Government’s Transport department from Monday onwards. Applicants can file on-line applications within fifteen days of the opening portal i.e. Monday (13.04.2020) itself at 10.00 AM onwards. The link is also available at website of Transport Department, Government of Delhi at http://transport.delhi.gov.in.
Helpline number service 011-23930763 and 011-23970290 shall also be available for answering the queries of PSV Badge Holders between 9.00 AM to 6.00 PM (except Sundays).
